What do we check in an MOT Test?

In the UK if your vehicle is over 3 years old you are required by law to have a valid MOT Certificate. Failure to do so can result in a £1000 Fine. The Items that are checked during an MOT are set out by the DVSA. Amongst the items covered are (this is not an exhaustive list):
